UR Updates: Tracker Guide

UR Updates: Tracker Guide

This article covers what trackers can see and do in UR Updates — on the session grid, in the resident drawer, and on the resident detail page.

Features by Permission Level

Trackers need the following permissions to gain full access to UR Updates capabilities.
  1. View UR Updates Page
  2. View Resident Detail Page
  3. Can Create and Edit Tasks
View UR Updates Page  — users with this permission can:
  1. Create and see sessions. Sessions include all active Medicare and Insurance residents for the facility, organized into Residents Awaiting Update and Confirmed Residents.
  2. The grid shows the most recent entries for each resident: LCD date, Status, and Status Details. You can use this during your weekly call to see what the BOM has already confirmed, so you only need to discuss residents that still need attention.
  3. You can search by resident name and filter by status. Residents are grouped by payor by default, and your grouping preference is saved between sessions.
View Resident Detail Page — users with this permission can:
  • Edit the Tracker's Comment field in the resident drawer. This is the same general comment line used elsewhere in AR Tracking. Users without this permission can see the field but cannot edit it.
  • Click the resident's name in the drawer header to open their full detail page in a new tab.
Can Create and Edit Tasks — users with this permission can:
  • Use the Add Task button in the resident drawer. Use this during the call to create follow-up tasks without leaving the page or opening a second tab.

Opening and Updating a Resident

Click anywhere on a resident row to open the resident drawer. From here you can:
  1. Review the resident's details.
  2. See the BOM's current status, sub-status, and status details
  3. Edit the Tracker's Comment field
  4. Add a task
  5. Save and confirm the resident

Resident Detail Page

The BOM's entries from UR Updates are reflected immediately on each resident's detail page in AR Tracking. You do not need to be in UR Updates to see them.
The following fields are visible on the resident detail page for all Medicare and Insurance residents:
  1. LCD (Last Cover Date)
  2. Status — with sub-status shown where applicable
  3. Status Details
  4. Tracker's Comment — this goes by the  "comment line" on the resident details page. It is editable by trackers on the resident detail page as well as in the UR page.
These fields share one record with the UR Updates drawer. A change made in UR Updates is reflected on the detail page immediately, and vice versa.

Custodial residents (MLTSS and Managed Medicaid Custodial)

Custodial resident show differently on the resident detail page. They do not show the LCD, Status, or Status Details fields. Instead, a checkbox labeled "Track Medicaid Pending and Income" is shown. When checked, the resident's Medicaid pending and income notes will appear on the appropriate reports.

Change Log

  1. A full change history is available on each resident's detail page. It records every update to the LCD, Status, Status Details, and ALF Name fields — including who made the change and when.
  2. The change log captures updates made from either the UR Updates page or the Resident detail page.
  3. To access the change log, open the resident detail page and select the 3 dot button on the top right of the page.
