What is Sign Off?

In order for a Risk Reporter incident to get closed it needs to get signed off by a user in a role designated for signing off.

When one signs off an incident, the user is stating that they approve of the reported incident and all the information it holds.

How to Sign Off?

  1. After an incident is "submitted", a section "Sign Off" will appear beneath the "Investigate" section.

  2. Any role that is designated to sign off will be listed in this section. Under each role it will say whether or not they signed off.

Sign off is assigned to roles and NOT to specific users. To change the roles that are required to sign off, your Facility Administrator should please contact support@snfmetrics.com. This is NOT something an organization can do on their own.

  3. A user that has one of these roles selects the button "Sign Off and Mark Closed" that is located under their role.

  4. This will change the status of the incident to "closed".

Once one person has signed off, the other roles listed don't need to sign off, unless multiple sign-offs are required by your organization.

Prompt and List of Incidents Awaiting Sign Off

A list of incidents waiting to be signed and closed, will pop up once a day and prompt the users that need to sign off.

They can also open the list of awaiting incidents by selecting the orange text button on the top right of the Risk Reporter home page.
